The process of writing this:
It's not an easy task for us, to write a press release about the music of Water Knives.
Text is text and music is music and the two often clash.
Nevertheless the media is the media, and press releases are a necessity, and sometimes we obey the industry rules, so here goes:

The music:
At first, we deliberated whether to focus on musical influences or on more abstract feelings in this text. In the end, as you’ll now see, we chose influences.
We can say that the music is inspired by Krautrock (especially the early realms of Can), and also by Giorgio Moroder, the disco idol, the mustache and the vibes. The BPM, though, is 171, which hints at drum’n’bass.
We were listening to Dick Dale at the time so you could hear some Surf vibes and some Stoner (seldom), and in the beginning, we asked Eran Zamir to play the Oud.
Why? Because he can do it and we like it.
Anyways, we follow the Motoric music tradition here, where the car is dyed in purple-pink, and the race track is a futuristic eighties arcade, from the present century.

How's all this related to Kloud?

Kloud
Imagine you're in a sky-bound elevator, among clouds (here's the Kloud connection), you cross a flock of seagulls (not the eighties' band), over green trees, all this is taking place in that arcade machine we mentioned earlier.
You're actually a metallic pinball kicked from place to place, joyful and lighthearted riding this track. We're super excited to present to you Kloud, because we believe that it can truly bring you energy and joy.

Who is it for:
Kloud is for those who can feel at home with all the references we threw above like confetti, and who will not be scared of joining a 6.40 minutes ride full of tree-tops, a flock of seagulls and Can tempos. For this is the essence of our being.
We named this music Danceadelia.

The remixes:
Two remixes were added to this EP.
Light Vs. Zen took the drum'n'bass beat, and turned it into a potential club hit. Now we need to send it to all the places where such tracks are played. A lot of work is involved.

Additionally, Harel Schreiber (Mule Driver) also had his take on Kloud, and fused this track with dark eighties/new wave vibes. Some say they can hear Death In June and other dark folk bands.
When you listen to the whole Kloud EP, you get a varied and interesting EP. We have to keep it interesting. It’s our essence of being, as we said.
